Walk Your Runway After
4D Minimal-Incision Bunion Correction

Not having the luxury of slowing down is the reason many people with bunions avoid bunion surgery. Traditional bunion surgeries require a long recovery which brings the runway of your life to a screeching halt.
Introducing the dynaBunion®
4D Minimal-Incision Procedure
The dynaBunion® 4D minimal-incision bunion procedure can allow you to quickly, comfortably and boldly return to your life’s runway. Unlike traditional open bunion surgeries, this 4D procedure corrects the bunion in all four dimensions through a minimal-incision which can offer a walking recovery, less tissue damage, a smaller scar…and a return to stylish shoes.
Safe & Secure Walking Recovery
After the dynaBunion® procedure, many patients are paired with a special postoperative shoe that can safely and securely embrace your foot; giving many patients the ability to walk within days of the procedure. However, your surgeon will create your personal recovery instructions.
Insurance Coverage
Bunion correction is a very commonly insured surgical procedure. The dynaBunion® 4D minimal-incision bunion correction is classified as a bunion correction procedure and is therefore covered by most insurance policies.

4D Minimal-Incision Bunion Correction
The dynaBunion® 4D minimal-incision bunion correction allows your surgeon to carefully correct your bunion in all four dimensions.

Bunions are caused by a mis-alignment of the toe bones in multiple dimensions. To understand the benefits of correcting each dimension, it is easiest to think of your bunion as a wedding cake that has started to lean over. When you analyze the cake layers, you quickly realize that the problem actually begins at the bottom layer. If the bottom layer is angled, it will make the rest of the cake lean. To correct the cake, the bottom layer must be re-aligned in 4 different dimensions. The same is true for your bunion.
Let’s walk through the 4 dimensions and the
importance of correcting each one:
1st Dimension
Straighten the layers to the upright position
Before

After

2nd Dimension
Center the layer from front to back
Before

After

3rd Dimension
Rotate the layer so the cake topper faces the front
Before

After

4th Dimension
Secure the layers for activities
Secure the layers and compress the layers so that they remain correctly aligned even after transporting the cake. The 4th dimension of continuous compression holds the ends of the bones together after walking or other light activities until the bones are healed.
Unlike most bunion procedures, the dynaBunion® procedure provides continuous compression which can lead to faster healing and a runway recovery.

Without 4D correction, continuous compression and secure fixation, the bones may not heal in the correct position and the bunion may return which could require another surgery to correct the bunion again.
